For automotive work, Hawes & Son uses professional Autel diagnostic equipment on supported vehicles. It allows us to interrogate multiple control modules, read and clear fault codes, monitor live data and use supported active tests and service functions as part of the diagnosis.
That can include DPF and emissions diagnosis, forced regeneration where appropriate, battery/charging system investigation and other system-level testing depending on vehicle support.

A forced DPF regeneration is only useful when the system is capable of completing it safely. Oil/coolant level, relevant faults and the likely reason for the blockage are checked first, then the regeneration result is verified.
